What is remanufacturing?

In its simplest terms, it is the process of returning a Factory fitted or Original Equipment (OE) manufactured new part back to the same high and exacting standards as when it was first made. This is only really possible through skilled technicians using OE parts, with the latest machinery and testing equipment working to technical specifications in a dedicated environment

The process involves

  1. Inspection of all sourced or exchange old 'Core' stock
  2. Parts are completely stripped and cleaned
  3. The part is the re-assembled using critical OE parts
  4. Testing takes place throughout the various stages of the assembly with a final test to guarantee that ICS' quality standards have been met
  5. Part Coded, Warranty issued and added to the ICS inventory

At ICS we only sell the highest quality remanufactured parts. This means that we generally only accept exchange old Core which is either a Factory fitted original, an Original Equipment part or from a high quality aftermarket manufacturer

This ensures the integrity and quality of our parts but also differentiates ICS and proper remanufacturers from salvage, second hand, used, cheap or poor quality aftermarket parts.
